Stayed here for 5 nights for business. There were both pros and cons, but overall the stay could have been better. Pros: Great location – in the heart of Theater District/Chinatown. Plenty of good restaurants, convenience stores, shops within walking distance. Free filtered water machine in lobby Starbucks coffee counter on-site in lobby Front desk staff Jailene (night shift) was very pleasant and helpful, and made sure me and my business colleagues enjoyed our last night there. Friendly security staff (see below). The gym is very basic (dumbbells + treadmills), but if you want to get a workout in, there is a YMCA center a block away. It's free for first time visitors, otherwise $15 for a one day pass. Cons: The first room I was put in shared a wall with a nightclub. The music was booming and was quite annoying late at night past 10pm, especially when traveling for business. I called the front desk and the only option was to switch rooms, so I had to pack all my stuff up. The security was kind enough to bring me a cart and my new keys to my room. I was on the 7th floor and forget which room I was in, but it was the view facing the other rooms (see pics). The new room was on the 12th floor and the view faced the Prudential Center. If you are staying here, I highly recommend asking for a view of downtown if you want a quiet night’s sleep. The rooms are small – not much space on desk, small closet, small bathroom. No mini fridge in room but they are available free upon request. I read an earlier review about the 13th floor having nicer rooms, so maybe I’ll request for that if I stay here again.

I just returned home from a 5 night stay for a conference. I traveled with my coworker and we had no trouble with the check in process. The front desk staff was pleasant and efficient. Our room was clean, although small as I would expect in an historic building. We had no trouble functioning in the space and appreciated the refrigerator and multiple outlets. The location was walking distance to the T, the Commons, and the Freedom Trail. This location is DOWNTOWN, that means you get some noise in the evening. We did not eat at the hotel, but the bartenders, Gezim and Nash, made our stay fun and personal. We chatted at night and they were engaged and professional; truly wonderful people to meet and I would call them both friends. Personally for me, I value customer service over room size any day. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is perfect for any and all downtown and North End Boston attractions. We stayed here for a concert at TD Garden. Being able to walk just across the street both before and after the concert was wonderful. There are numerous dining and entertainment options within a few blocks. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Our stay was as pleasant as any we have ever had. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to Boston.

Great location close to the Copley Station. Very walkable to everything and in the heart of the theater district. Lived the historic flair of the hotel. Staff was super helpful with my large group. Great value for the price.

Wonderful, welcoming staff! Ed (valet) and Tony (front desk) accommodated all our big and little requests. The rooms need a bit of a renovation but we’re clean. Location is amazing with everything within walking distance. Good dinner recommendations from lobby bartender
